Kendrapara youth’s body returns from South Africa after MP Baijayant Panda’s intervention
After the intervention of BJP National VP and Kendrapara MP, Baijayant Panda, the mortal remains of Nishideb Behera, a youth from Dangamal village in Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district, were brought back to Odisha.
Nishideb, son of Basudev Behera, was employed with a private company in South Africa. On September 9, he tragically passed away under circumstances that remain unclear. The sudden demise left the family devastated and struggling with the challenge of bringing his body home.
It was only after the personal intervention of MP Baijayant Panda that the complex process of repatriation was expedited.

On Thursday, Nishideb’s body arrived at Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International (BPIA) Airport. The remains were formally handed over to his father, Basudev Behera, and other relatives who had gathered at the airport with tearful eyes.
The body was later taken to his native village for the final rites. Villagers, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects to the young man, whose untimely death has cast a pall of gloom over the community.
Local residents have expressed gratitude to MP Baijayant Panda for his timely intervention in ensuring the return of the youth’s mortal remains. On the other hand, the rise in deaths of migrant workers and Odia youths working in other countries has become a matter of serious concern.
