Puri Srimandir management is once again in the news after alleged entry of some non-Hindus into the shrine on Sunday. At least four non-Hindus and that too from neighbouring Bangladesh entered Srimandir in Puri. Nine non-Hindus were detained by the Singhadwar police. Their passports and documents were seized.As per reports, four of the nine detainees had managed to enter the 12th-century shrine while the rest were outside the temple. While their intention has not been ascertained yet, police have started an investigation into the circumstances under which they managed to get inside the temple. SJTA administrator (rituals) Pradip Sahu informed that the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has lodged a complaint at Singhadwar police station in this regard.
