Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director General, IMD, says, "A depression has been formed in the Bay of Bengal...The depression will intensify into a deep depression and by tomorrow it may intensify further and become a cyclone storm...between 23-25th October, in Coastal Odisha and West Bengal, light to moderate rainfall is expected...sea condition is very rough...it is not safe for the fishermen and ships so we are continuously issuing warnings, fishermen are not supposed to go to sea and those who're in the sea must come back immediately"
