Bhubaneswar Railway Station Undergoing Rapid Re-development, Completion By August 2025

Two years ago, the government launched a plan to transform Bhubaneswar station into a major railway hub through strategic design and planning. This project commenced in March 2023 and now the structural work has been. Reportedly, the planning of the elevated road will start.

The re-development is seen as a pivotal step in enhancing Bhubaneswar’s connectivity with other metro cities and boosting economic growth in the region. 
Once completed, the station is expected to serve as a blueprint for railway modernisation projects across India.
