As the International Chess Olympiad is underway, an artist from Tamil Nadu has crafted a 1.5-inch miniature chess board. The artist hailing from Coimbatore created this miniature chess board after commencement of the 44th Chess Olympiad in India. It took only 2 hours for completion of this marvelous chess board designed using silver and 2 grams of gold.
The artist says he has created the chess board to encourage the youth develop an interest towards the Indian-origin game. The chess Olympiad was inaugurated by PM Modi on 28th July at Poonjeri village in Mamallapuram.
