A woman from Chennai has kept up her family’s age-old tradition of decorating the house will Golu Dolls during Navratri celebrations.
Meet, Nandhini, who was formerly residing in Singapore but has now moved to Chennai's Nolambur area! Nandhini is quite known for having thousands of Golu Dolls in her house and she has been celebrating this festival using these dolls for the past 11years.
Nadhini has been decorating her house with Golu dolls representing Hindu Gods and Goddesses. However, for this year, Nadhini has focussed on social issues like plastic ban, afforestation along with other environmental issues.
Nandhini says that she has also kept books along with some of her Golu dolls to emphasize the importance of reading and education.
