Following the seizure of drugs from an alleged rave party at a cruise off Mumbai coast on Saturday, NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) chief Satya Narayan Pradhan has revealed many crucial details with regard to the drug bust.
Eight persons have been detained for questioning, while further raids would be conducted on the basis of the information that the bureau would receive from them, said Pradhan.
He said that the NCB was gathering inputs and took the action when inputs suggested that drugs like charas & MDM were carried for consumption at the party.
Those detained include Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra.
All of them were questioned today in connection with the raid at the cruise. The NCB chief said that it’s a result of a painstaking investigation that went on for two weeks. The Narcotics Bureau acted on specific intelligence inputs, during which involvement of some Bollywood links has come to light.
SN Pradhan said that the probe is being carried out in an impartial manner, and it doesn’t matter if during the process, some connections to Bollywood or rich people emerge. Presenting the data, Pradhan said that that there must have been more than 300 raids in the last one year.
Such raids will continue whether foreign nationals, film industry or rich people are involved and the NCB will continue to act within the purview of the law, Pradhan has said.
