Legendary Kathak Dancer, Pandit Birju Maharaj Passes Away After Cardiac Arrest

Legendary Kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj passed away at his residence in Delhi following a cardiac arrest late on Sunday night. He was 83. A recipient of the country's second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan, Panditji, had been diagnosed with kidney disease a few days ago and was on dialysis.
