For people of Odisha, the long wait to fly directly to Goa is finally over. IndiGo Airline will commence daily direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Goa from this year. This information was communicated by Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Pravat Ranjan Beuria.
According to Beuria, direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Goa will commence from December this year and air travellers can avail the flights on all days of the week. The IndiGo flight is scheduled to depart from Bhubaneswar at 10.30 PM every day while the flight from Goa to Bhubaneswar will depart at 1.35 PM.
Meanwhile, IndiGO is also starting direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Jaipur (Rajasthan) from November 2, 2021.
Under the new norms, RT-PCR tests are mandatory for passengers arriving from 'at-risk' countries and they will be allowed to leave the airport only after the test results come. Also, randomly five per cent of the passengers arriving in flights from other countries will be subject to the test.
A 2-day coastal security exercise ‘Sagar Kavach’ commenced off Odisha coast (from Gopalpur to Chandipur) on Tuesday (November 30). As many as 18 depts of Centre & State govt take part in the exercise to assess the effectiveness of coastal security organization.
