Good news keeps coming for the air travellers. Low-cost carrier Akasa Air, which is backed by Billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from government to operate. Set to become India’s 7th airline, Akasa is expected to start operations by mid-2022. The Airline has already received initial clearance from the Civil Aviation Ministry to launch India's latest ultra-low cost carrier.
Power Minister R.K. Singh gave the assurance in response to a question in Lok Sabha during Question Hour.
Warning the Opposition, Modi said, "For the first time in seven decades, action is being taken against the corrupt. When actions are taken, some people will be upset. But the Opposition's false allegations will not stop the drive against corruptionof."
Naval chief Admiral R Hari Kumar took the salute from the new recruits in the Passing Out Parade, which was held post-sunset, a first of its kind in the Indian armed forces. Traditionally, Passing Out Parades are held in the morning.
The President also expressed her satisfaction over the balanced proportion of male and female students at Visva Bharati University.
