In an unusual and bizarre incident, a thief left a cheekily written note expressing his displeasure after robbing the house of the Deputy Collector at Dewas in Madhya Pradesh.
The note written in Hindi mentioned, "Jab paise nahi they toh lock nahi karna tha na Collector" (if there wasn't any money in the house, you shouldn't have locked it, Collector).
Uncanny as it may sound, but the tone of the post-robbery-note indicates that the thief was left disappointed after breaking into the house of the Deputy Collector.
The incident took place at the official residence of Trilochan Gaur, who is currently posted as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Khategaon Tehsil of Dewas in Madhya Pradesh.
As per sources, around Rs 30,000 cash and some jewellery have been stolen from the government official's residence. Gaur was not at his house for the last 15-20 days. Upon his return, Gaur found his belongings scattered in the house while some cash and jewellery were missing.
Later, he reported the incident to the police who launched a probe into the matter.
