A day before the sibling deities undertake their sojourn to their aunt’s place, the chariots were pulled to Singhadhar of Puri Jagannath temple after the Agyan Mala bije rituals. The mega event is being held with public participation after a two-year pandemic hiatus. Lakhs of devotees are expected to congregate in the pilgrim town for the chariot fest.

Flood Threat! 30 Gates Of Hirakud Dam In Odisha Opened
The incessant rainfall in Chhattisgarh and subsequent inflow of excess water forced the authorities of Hirakud dam to open additional gates on Saturday. At present, excess water is being released through 28 sluice gates of Hirakud dam.
