A rare case of animal conflict was recently witnessed at Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar. Recently, a python snake and white female tigress of the zoo named Rupa came face to face inside the tiger enclosure at the zoo.
Though the fight was reportedly intense, the tourists were thoroughly entertained! While the tigress suffered no injuries, the python took a hit during the fight.
Reportedly, the tussle had continued for the entire day, ending only when the tigress retreated to her feeding chamber.
After the tigress had retreated, the zoo authorities grabbed the injured snake and immediately gave it first aid Later, the python was released into a safer habitat.
