Here a 3-day-old newborn is being rescued from a house marooned in flood water. The newborn baby and its mother were rescued by the rescue team and shifted to a safer place.
Around 50,000 people in as many as 12 panchayats under Basta block of Balasore have been hit hard due to the rise in water level following incessant rain.
Such a strange banana tree has now been a matter of discussion in the locality with people from nearby villages making a beeline to have a look at the wonder tree.
The police have detained eight persons in connection with the case.
“The construction work is going on round the clock. It is also the wish of the Lord Jagannath that the project work should finish at the earliest,” stated the Parliamentarian.
"Puri has lost its spiritual essence due to the state government’s lack of concern. This sort of government act also violates constitutional norms.”
