Slippers Hurled At Odisha Law Minister Pratap Jena In Own Constituency

Odisha Law Minister Pratap Jena faced humiliation in his own constituency Mahanga in Cuttack when a slipper was thrown at him during a programme on Sunday (Dec 12) evening.

A video which surfaced last night shows how a man hurled a slipper targeting minister Jena when he was sitting on the dais after addressing the public.

The slipper, however, missed Jena and hit his security personnel standing close to him. Tension erupted at the event and immediately the man was nabbed and detained by Police.

Jena had gone to attend Sarat Ustav at Erakana of Mahanga on Sunday evening where the incident took place.

Minister Pratap Jena has been in the radar of the Opposition over Mahanga double murder case in which a BJP leader and his associate were brutally murdered in Mahanga this year in January. Minister Jena has been named in the FIR for his alleged involvement in the murder.
