In a tragic incident, a Plus-3 girl student was burnt to death at her house in Bhaludunguri village under Bonai Police limits of Sundargarh district on Monday night (Dec 13). The deceased Sapneshwari Munda was reportedly a meritorious student of a college at Lahunipada. As per reports, late on Monday night, the girl was heading into her room holding a kerosene lamp.
However, her dress reportedly caught fire and hearing her anguished cries, her family members rushed to the spot to rescue her. The family members reportedly called the ambulance services and Sapneshwari was rushed to Bonai sub-divisional hospital in a critical condition.
However, she was declared dead by doctors during treatment. Meanwhile, the Bonai police have launched an investigation into the case.
