Yet another sensational case rocks the capital city. Police on Sunday (October 10) recovered the body of Manish Anurag Das, the elder son of senior journalist Navin Das, from a pond in Patrapada on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. As per sources, Manish went missing from Infocity area on Saturday following which his father lodged a complaint with the police. It was alleged that Manish was abducted by two people in a car from Infocity area. Reportedly, Manish's family members had also received a ransom call following his disappearance. However, it is unclear whether the two kidnappers killed Manish and dumped his body in the water body. A few locals of Patrapada area spotted Manish's body floating in the water, and immediately informed police about the incident. Police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the case. The recovered body was sent to AIIMS for post-mortem. A special team comprising officers from Infocity, Tomando Police Station and a Special Squad has been formed to probe this case.
