CM Naveen Patnaik faced sharp protest from Opposition parties during his visit to Ganjam, his own constituency district, on Sunday (Dec 12). Patnaik had visited Ganjam for launching of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart card distribution in the district.
During his visit, the activists of BJP and Congress raised ‘Naveen Patnaik Go Back’ slogans; and reportedly waved black flags alleging CM’s inaction against minister Dibya Shankar Mishra over lady teacher Mamita Meher murder case. The Ganjam police has detained several activists of both the Opposition parties who were protesting the CM’s visit.
