In view of prevailing pandemic and anticipated rush during observance of Durga Puja special precautions are being taken at temples and places of worship. The Puri Srimandir will remain closed for the devotees on the occasion of Durga Puja on October 15.
A decision regarding this was taken at the Chhatisa Nijog meeting. After the meeting, the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Krishan Kumar communicated the decision. Besides, the chief administrator also urged the Habisiyalis not to visit Puri Srimandir during COVID-19.
