With a view to curb the spread of Covid-19 during the festive season in Odisha, Commissionerate Police has beefed up preparations and security arrangements.
According to Twin City Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi, 18 Platoons of Police force will be deployed in Cuttack for smoothly conduct of the Durga Puja and enforcement of night curfew.
Along with that, Cuttack city has been divided into 8 sectors, on basis of which arrangements have been made. Four Additional SPs, 11 DSPs, 27 Inspectors, 216 Officers, 44 Havildars, 427 Constables, 289 Home Guards will look after the arrangements.
A total of 18 platoon police force will be deployed along with Odisha Swift Action Force (OSAF). Several aid posts have been made at different places. Elaborate arrangements have been made to tackle the traffic problems during the puja.
Two Additional SP rank officials will supervise the traffic arrangements. The Traffic DCP will also look after the traffic arrangements in the twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Watch this video.
