Arindam Das’ untimely demise has left the media fraternity and senior leaders in deep shock. Arindam Das was a journalist who loved challenges. His reportage in adverse situations created his own brand of journalism.
Be it flood, cyclones, crime, or covering left-wing extremism, Arindam’s versatility made him unique. He never stuck to stereotypes and always thought out of the box to report events.
Arindam’s love for challenges & respect for duty was reflected in his childhood wish to join the armed forces. He was a part of the NCC Republic Day contingent in New Delhi.
He was also interested to join the Territorial Army. As a journalist, he always thrived to bring news to the people no matter what the circumstances were. And for that his contribution to journalism in Odisha, he will always be remembered.
