Bhubaneswar: Venomous Cobra Stuck In Steel Drain Cover Rescued By Snake Helpline

An Indian cobra was recently found in the bathroom of a house in Bhubaneswar’s Pokhariput area. Upon discovering the snake, the residents of the house immediately contacted the Snake Helpline.

An Indian cobra was recently found in the bathroom of a house in Bhubaneswar’s Pokhariput area. Upon discovering the snake, the residents of the house immediately contacted the Snake Helpline.

However, after reaching the spot, the snake helpline members discovered that the snake had gotten stuck in a steel drain cover while attempting to escape through the drain.

With no other alternative, the helpline members took the reptile to their office. There, they put an open ended plastic pipe on the venomous snake’s head, to help it breathe. Then they proceeded to remove the steel drain cover from its body. The cobra was later released into the wild on the outskirts of the city.
