These are the cries of the crestfallen family of Jyoti Prakash Behera, who died after falling into a flooded open sewer in Bhubaneswar. Time and again, torrential rainfall has brought the smart city Bhubaneswar to its knees.
On Sunday (September 19), it claimed the life of this innocent boy. Fifteen-year-old Jyoti Prakash Behera fell into the flooded open sewer in Bhubaneswar on Sunday afternoon.
After a 16-hour- long search operation, Jyoti’s body was found near Panchasakha Nagar in the State Capital on Monday morning.
The incident has triggered an outrage among locals and Opposition political parties, who have blamed the State government and local city civic body for mismanagement.
