Puri Rath Yatra | Lord Jagannath will retrun to Puri Srimandir in Bahuda Yatra. The Lord and the Deities were brought to the chariots near Gundicha temple in Pahandi. During the Bahuda Yatra, the Deities will return to Srimandir after concluding their sojourn.

There are 12 main festivals of Lord Jagannath observed at Srimandir in Puri. Rath Yatra is one of them. This annual festival of nine-day sojourn of the deities to Gundicha temple, begins from the second day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Aashadha.
As per the decision taken in the meeting, temporary sheds will be set up on the Badadanda (grand road) in front of the temple keeping the soaring temperature in view.
The soaring prices of hotel rooms in Puri, especially on the Grand Road, have put a dent in the plans of tourists.
The ‘Snana Jatra’ of Lord Jagannath and his siblings is on June 4. On this day, thousands of devotees throng the Grand Road. The ongoing Parikrama Project is believed to become a bottleneck.
