The Covid-19 cases in both Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are higher in comparison to other places, since both these are health hubs of the state. This information was given by Directorate of Medical Education and Teaching (DMET) Chief, CBK Mohanty on Friday (Sep17).
Elaborating about the topic, Mohanty said that most people from other areas of Odisha come to Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for treatment. Then, as per protocol, they have to undergo Covid testing which often results in a higher number of cases to emerge from these places.
Meanwhile, Mohanty also stressed on the crowding observed in the Twin cities and said that till the time people don't adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, the government would not be able to help them in any way.
