A marriage feast was organised on May 12 for the villagers by one Daya Bisoi, whose son got married on May 8th. Getting information about such a congregation in violation of lockdown guidelines, Khallikote Tehsildar and Police reached the spot. Cracking down on such violation, police then dumped huge quantities of food prepared for the feast. Police dumped several food items which were reportedly prepared for around 2000 guests. Even though the organisers of the feast requested the authorities to spare them, the police could be heard requesting the people not to spread COVID19 infection by organising such congregation. Police even collected a fine of Rs 8,500 from the family for violation of COVID-19 protocols.
