After a video of a girl relentlessly slapping a cab driver in the middle of the road at Nahariya Chauraha traffic signal in Lucknow went viral, the victim, cab driver Saadat Ali Siddiqui lodged an FIR against the girl.
Narrating all that had transpired on that fateful night, Saadat explained his part of the story and demanded action against the girl. Saadat claimed that the traffic police personnel failed to help him throughout the incident. Saadat alleged that the girl grabbed his phone from the car and smashed it into pieces and later broke the car's side mirror too. He further claimed that the police had readily filed the girl’s complaint but had refused to co-operate with him. Saadat’s lawyer Muhammad Haider says that Saadat has been wrongfully accused in the case and demanded compensation for his losses.
However, there is another story that has emerged now. Speaking to national media, the viral girl claimed that she was being beaten by local goons for the past two years and that she is currently under medication. People hope the truth comes out soon.
