Odisha government is likely to lift lockdown restrictions gradually in a phased manner. On Saturday, Director of Health Services Bijay Mohapatra informed that the state government will slowly lift lockdown restrictions if the current trend of the declining Covid Test Positivity Rate (TPR) persists for the next few days. The current positivity rate is ranging between 9-11 per cent, and stood at 9.7% on Sunday. According to the health Director, if the TPR continues to dip, the State may consider ways to relax the existing lockdown measures. On May 14, the state government had floated an online tender to procure 3.8 crore doses of Covid vaccines. On Friday, the government received two bids through a global tender for procuring doses, the verification process of which is currently underway.
