As the deadly second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic sweeps the country, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today postponed its exam. The UPSC postponed the Civil Services (preliminary) 2021 exam on Thursday. The Prelims 2021, which was scheduled for June 27, will now be held on October 10, 2021. Candidates appearing for the examination had earlier demanded postponement or cancellation of the exam amid the rapid surge in Coronavirus Infection in India. UPSC had recently postponed several examinations due to worsening pandemic situation in the country. Apart from this, other recruitment exams like SSC CGL and some exams of SSC CHSL were also postponed due to the pandemic.
