They may have lived like humans, but they turned divine after their demise. These are Meet and Krish, the two friends who turned immortal even after their deaths. The two 18 years old who were returning home after throwing Krish Gandhi’s birthday party at a restaurant on VIP road in Surat on Wednesday, met with a road accident where a car suddenly hit their vehicle from behind.
Meet and Krish were both critically injured when they were admitted to the hospital. CT scans reports of both Krish and Meet revealed that they had brain haemorrhage and blood clotting had formed in their brains. While the two friends were battling with life and death, their family members took a major decision.
They decided to donate the organs of Meet and Krish such as their kidneys, liver, eyes, etc. in case the two passed away during the treatment. After the demise of Krish and Meet the organs of the two deceased were sent to save lives of 12 different patients. The entire hospital premises echoed with “Krish and Meet Amar rahe” slogans. Krish’s mother broke down while expressing her feelings on her son’s demise.
The police created four green corridors for transferring these organs swiftly. Krish’s lungs was transferred to KIMS hospital in Hyderabad which was 926 km away within just 180 minutes for lungs transplant of a Pune based 54 year-old CRPF jawan.
Krish’s heart was transferred to CIMS hospital in Ahmadabad that is 288 km away from Surat in just 90 minutes for the transplant operation of a 21 year-old female. Krish’s liver was transferred to Ahmadabad’s Shalby hospital for transplant operation of a 55 year-old man from Rajkot.
Similarly, Meet’s liver and four kidneys donated by Meet and Krish were also transferred to various patients in need in various hospitals in Ahmadabad. The family members of Krish and Meet said that they were saddened by the death of their sons but were also proud that their sons could save 12 lives even after their deaths.
