The rise in cases observed in certain states indicates that India is still at the fag end of the second wave and the third wave hasn’t arrived in the country yet. This information was shared by Odisha Health expert Niraj Mishra on Saturday (July 10). Speaking on the recent trends observed, Mishra clarified that even though an increase in active Covid-19 cases is being observed, it still is not an indicator of the onset of the third wave. He clarified that certain states like Kerala and Maharashtra are experiencing the tail end of the second wave, which is yet to taper and diminish across the country.
