TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant To Hire Freshers In Record Numbers

Exciting news for the fresh graduate engineers as top tech companies are stepping up hiring of freshers like never before. According to a national media report (Times of India), top IT firms have started hiring fresher graduates in record numbers from campuses this year.

Amid apprehensions of massive job loss in the IT companies, India's top IT giants, such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies and Cognizant- are reportedly planning to hire about 1.5 lakh fresh graduates in this fiscal year.

India's largest IT services firm TCS, which now has more than 5 lakh workforce - said it has plans to hire about 40,000 freshers from the campuses this year. Besides, second-largest Indian IT Company Infosys expects to hire around 35,000 freshers.

Meanwhile, IT firms Wipro and Cognizant have plans to roll out 30,000 offer letters to campus hires this fiscal respectively.

The report quoted, Senior Vice President of Cognizant India, Shantanu Jha saying that the company has about 150 partner campuses and also added over 200 additional campuses to give students an opportunity to work with them.

It is believed that demand-supply friction at the mid-senior level may continue for the next few years but companies have planned to hire more fresh talents to strengthen talent pool.
