Fans of one of the most popular sitcoms on Indian Television, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are in utter confusion. This state of affairs has been on account of one of its stars Munmun Dutta aka Babita ji. With the actress not featuring in the show’s last few episodes, it has got rumour mills turning speculations about her future in the show. In fact, a Bollywood web magazine stated that Munmun Dutta did not join the show’s crew for shooting at Daman, as filming is restricted in Maharashtra.
With all these buzz surrounding Munmun Dutta’s future in the popular sitcom, another report has also surfaced which might leave the fans somewhat reassured. As per a report by national media (ETimes), the makers of the show have confirmed that Munmun Dutta is very much part of the show and she is not quitting. Asitt Kumar Modi, the owner of the show’s production house, Neela Film Productions Pvt Ltd has refuted the rumours as ‘baseless & incorrect.’ Modi has reportedly confirmed that Munmun Dutta is still a part of Sab TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Munmun Dutta has been a part of the sitcom since the inception of the show.
