One of the most popular singing reality shows on television, 'Indian Idol' has been running smoothly and successfully for the past many years now. However, unlike the previous seasons, the season 12 seems to be dealing with many challenges.
The 12th season of Sony TV's Indian Idol came under a negative spotlight allegedly after many spiced-up stories and controversies. Such has been the impact that the viewers have not spared the judges, the host and even the contestants. With finale approaching, the competition between the top contestants has also gotten tougher.
Fans, on the other hand, are creating a crazy buzz on social media to make sure their favourite star lifts the winner's trophy. In the latest episode, all-rounder Pawandeep Rajan mesmerised everyone with a spectacular performance on 'Tu Hi Re' song from Bombay (1995) movie, but much to everyone's surprise, judges allegedly did not find or rate it good enough.
Taking to Twitter, fans of Pawandeep Rajan slammed the judges for not appreciating the performance with ‘Mausam Badal Diya’ celebration. Fans have also claimed that the judges are biased towards 17-year-old Arunita Kanjilal.
Blaming Anu Malik, fans alleged that the music composer is trying to pull down and degrade Pawandeep Rajan's fame because he wants one of the girl contestants to win Indian Idol 12. Fans also slammed the show makers for scripting a fake romantic story between Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep Rajan to garner TRP.
During the last episode, 90s popular singing jodi, Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy, graced the show as special guests and they were mesmerised by Arunita Kanjilal's performance. Legendary singer Kumar Sanu complimented her and expressed his wish to see Arunita as the winner.
Recently, host Aditya Narayan also expressed about seeing a female singer grab the winner's title. Indian Idol 12 is all set to have the finale episode in real grand style. For the first time in the history of Indian television, a show is going to entertain people for 12 long hours. Indian Idol 12 finale episode - titled 'The Greatest Grand Finale Ever', will air from 12 pm till 12 am on August 15, promising non-stop entertainment and music for 12 hours.
