While the whole country is mourning the loss of popular actor Sidharth Shukla, several reports have surfaced proving that the actor had a golden heart. Sidharth who had worked in several Tele serials, reality shows and Bollywood films, was best known for starring in the famous Colors TV serial 'Balika Vadhu'.
Sidharth starred with Pratyusha Banerjee, the late actress who played the lead role in the show. But what is not known to many is that Sidharth and Pratyusha were not just co-stars but also great friends in real life, so much so that post her death, the actor kept in touch with Pratyusha's family.
In a new interview, Pratyusha Banerjee’s parents have revealed that they considered Sid their son and he had sent them 20,000 forcibly during a financial crisis. Pratyusha's father, Shankar Banerjee, in conversation with a leading news portal revealed that Sidharth Shukla had been in touch ever since their daughter passed away in 2016.
Pratyusha's father also revealed that Sidharth would often keep in touch through WhatsApp and ask them if they needed anything. Expressing his disbelief, Shankar Banerjee stated that Sidharth often used to come home to pay a visit but after Pratyusha’s death, many people started talking about the relationship between Sidharth and Pratyusha, because of which Sidharth had stopped coming home.
During the lockdown, Sidharth often used to ask us if we needed anything and even "forcibly sent Rs 20,000", informed Shankar. The entire film and television fraternity is still reeling under the pain of losing a bright and dynamic star so soon.
