Eminent environmentalist and former Odisha Information Commissioner, Padma Shri Radhamohan, passed away on Friday (June 11) while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Radhamohan (78) was admitted to the hospital following respiratory issues due to bronchitis asthma. Radhamohan was also suffering from other co-morbidities.
He breathed his last at around 12 midnight. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor Ganeshi Lal condoled the passing away of the eminent social worker.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, former Minister Jual Oram, BJP National Vice President Jay Panda and other senior leaders also expressed grief over the demise of the noted economist Padma Shri Radhamohan. Radhamohan and his daughter Sabarmatee were awarded Padma Shri last year for their contributions to the field of agriculture.
