Hospitality unicorn OYO is planning to hire more than 300 technology professionals over the next six months.
As per reports, the profiles will span across software development, engineering and product managers, designers, and data scientists across entry-level to senior leadership roles.
The hospitality firm also wants to set up full-stack teams with expertise in the areas of Machine Learning, Data Engineering & Information Security, Android and iOS developers. According to OYO, the hiring will play a crucial role in accelerating company’s transformation to a global full-stack technology provider for small and mid-sized hotels and homes.
OYO also informed that they have already begun on-boarding more than 50 mid-level tech talent and around 150 campus recruits from top universities across India. However, the applicants have to go through rigorous competency-based technical discussions followed by detailed conversations with the senior leaders at OYO. Additionally, approx. 100 offers will be rolled out in the upcoming placement season.
Speaking about the hiring, Ankit Mathuria, the Chief Technology Officer at OYO said that they believe in the philosophy to keep the ‘geek’ alive in their techies. The Chief Technology Officer also said that they don’t put our talent in a box. Instead, they allow employees to think big and differently. OYO always welcome passionate talent that’s looking for opportunities to make a real difference and fuel the next wave of growth for the company, he added.
