Exam Centre Fiasco Leaves Candidates Perplexed
Palpable tension prevailed in Titlagarh after hundreds of candidates set to appear for the Revenue Inspector (RI) exam conducted by OSSSC (Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission) missed it allegedly due to confusion over their exam centres mentioned in the admit cards.
The exam today (August 29) was scheduled to be held in two sittings. The first sitting was from 10 AM to 12 Noon while the second sitting has been scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM. At around 8 AM, close to a hundred students from different areas reached Government Women’s College in Titlagarh as per the centre mentioned in their admit cards.
However, upon reaching the spot, the candidates discovered that the college was not their examination centre and all of them have been misguided. After the students created an uproar expressing their displeasure over the situation, a delegation of the local administration including the Sub-Collector reached the spot and held discussions with the aspirants.
Through this examination, OSSSC will fill up a total of 5,586 vacant posts of Revenue Inspector (RI) and Assistant Revenue Inspector.
