She moved from Germany to Odisha to completely devote herself to the service of Krishna. Lilabati is quite fluent in both Odia and Sanskrit languages. She can read and chant the Jagannath Janana, sing bhajans of Lord Jagannath and quote stances from Srimad Bhagavad Gita. The clear narration of the Jagannath Ashtakam by Lilabati makes one believe that she is a native of Odisha. Although she has a different name, after she moved to Odisha and took up the Sanatan dharma, she changed her name to Lilabati Devi Dasi. One would always find Lilabati immersed in devotion, chanting hymns of Shri Krishna and Lord Rama. Lilabati has been associated with the Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mission in Khantapada region of Balasore for the last 10 years. There was no looking back as she says life has changed for good.
