Odisha Youth Murdered By Friends For \'Hanuman Coin\', 4 Arrested In Deogarh
In a bizarre incident, a youth was reportedly murdered by his friends for a Hanuman coin in Deogarh. On Tuesday, the Deogarh police arrested four accused - Bishnu Kishan, Surendra Majhi, Ratani Kishan and Pradeep Majhi - in connection with the murder.
The incident had occurred near Raital area in Deogarh district. The accused had allegedly murdered Krushna Kishan in a planned manner after he refused to hand over the Hanuman coin that was in his possession.
According to the police, the group of men took Krushna to a secluded place on the outskirts of his village and attacked him with a sturdy stick. The body of the deceased was later thrown near an electric power transformer in the village, to give it an impression of death due to electrocution. Police seized the stick with which the victim was reportedly killed.
A complaint was lodged by the family members of the deceased, based on which police started an investigation and arrested the accused.
