Covid-19 pandemic may have restricted devotees from participating in the annual holy Rath Yatra for the last two years. However, for this youth, these restrictions have further enhanced the devotion for Lord Jagannath. This is Amit Kumar Mohapatra, who from Cuttack.
Amit is a Plus-2 second year student who was supposed to appear in the Plus-2 Board examinations this year. However, amid the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the Plus-2 Board examinations were cancelled. Utilising his time during the state-wide lockdown and shutdown period, Amit created this miniature chariot in a span of just 5-7 days.
Amit used leftover papers, glue, colours and other materials available at every household to create this miniature chariot. Amit says he has spent just Rs. 50 – Rs. 100 in preparing this chariot.
