The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Warning over several districts of Odisha. Heavy rainfall is likely to lash many parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
As per the forecast by the MeT Centre, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir and Ganjam.
A 'Yellow warning' was issued for heavy rainfall over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nuapada. The state's capital city Bhubaneswar is likely to experience a generally overcast sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower.
The city would experience maximum 32 degrees Celsius and minimum 26 degrees Celsius. The weather department informed that the low pressure area still persists over Northwest adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal (BoB) off South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts.
