Odisha Weather: IMD Issues 'Yellow Warning' Over 11 Districts For The Next 24 Hours

The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast informed that the low pressure area over North Odisha and adjoining South Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal has become less marked.

The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast informed that the low pressure area over North Odisha and adjoining South Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal has become less marked.

However, the cyclonic circulation now lies over Jharkhand and neighbourhood and currently extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Meanwhile, the MeT Centre has issued a 'Yellow Warning' for heavy rainfall over 11 districts of Odisha for the next 24 hours.

These districts are - Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur and Bargarh. In the next 24 hours, Bhubaneswar might witness generally overcast sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.

The capital city is likely to experience maximum 29 degrees Celsius and minimum 26 degrees Celsius. Overall, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha. Additionally, the MeT issued no weather warning for fishermen in the state during this period.
