A low pressure area is likely to form over Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the low peressure area is likely to form over northwest & adjoining west central Bay of Bengal off Odisha north-Andhra Pradesh coasts.

IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over Several Districts

A low pressure area is likely to form over Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the low peressure area is likely to form over northwest & adjoining west central Bay of Bengal off Odisha north-Andhra Pradesh coasts.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain or thundershower are very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Odisha during the next 24 hours.

The regional centre of the IMD in Bhubaneswar has issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for 5 districts of the state for the next 24 hours. As per the MeT Centre’s prediction, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to lash one or two places in Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Nabarangpur and Rayagada.

Moreover, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar is likely to witness cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower.

The capital city of Odisha is likely to experience maximum 32 degrees Celsius and minimum 27 degrees Celsius.
