Odisha Villagers Build Bridge On Their Own As Promises Remain Unfulfilled

This is Kuturakend village under Titilagarh Block of Bolangir district. Here, the villagers are constructing temporary bridge, all on their own. This bridge will help them commute and keep them connected with the outside world after water levels rise during monsoon.

The villagers in the area alleged that the administration failed to construct a permanent bridge in their area, despite repeated requests. Tired of government apathy and negligence, the villagers reportedly decided to take the matter into their own hands.
