The state government has introduced a new attendance module for Plus II students in Odisha.
In a letter addressed to the Principals of all Higher Secondary Schools, the state government informed about implementation of a new attendance module from July 26 in the HSS e-space to collect daily attendance of students of Class 11 and 12.
In the letter, Bhagirathi Kandi, office in charge of the Program Management Unit (PMU), Student Academic Management System (SAMS), has instructed all the principals to upload the attendance of stream-wise student at 4 PM on a daily basis for onward transmission to government.
The official has also shared the detailed steps to be followed each day for updating daily attendance. The letter also elaborates that a report in regard to the attendance will also be generated at DHSE (O) level for compilation purpose. The senior official asked Principals to treat the given instructions as ‘most urgent’ stating that any deviation would be viewed seriously.
