Odisha Plus-2 Admission From August 12, No Fee Hike This Year, Says Minister Samir Dash

In a major announcement, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash informed that the SAMS portal for the admission of Plus-2 students will open from August 12. According to the minister, the government had received applications for increasing 72,000 seats in various colleges. While 25000 more seats were requested for Science stream, 13000 seats have been approved by the government. Similarly, 38000 seats have been finalised for Arts Stream while 3,900 more seats for commerce have been finalised by the state government. Keeping in mind the financial constraints of people amid this pandemic, the minister announced that no hike will be done in college fees during the admission process.
