Odisha Minister On Starting Classes For Std 1-8 Students & Rising COVID19 Cases In Schools
After several students from two schools in Bargarh and Dhenkanal district tested positive for Covid-19 in the state, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash on Tuesday (Sept 7) informed that if required the said schools will be shut to prevent further infections.
The Minister informed that contact tracing of the infected children is currently underway. On being asked about the reopening of schools for students for Class 1 to 8, the Minister said that no decision in this regard has been taken yet.
Meanwhile, Dash further elaborated that steps will be taken in this regard only after the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) submits a detailed report regarding the same.
