In a spine chilling incident, a man and two women from Golamunda area of Kalahandi district were arrested by police on Monday (Aug 16) for allegedly killing and burying their two new born infants in Goa. As per sources, the accused man identified as Tripal Nayak was working as a migrant worker in Goa last year during the lockdown. There, Tripal met two women who were also working as migrant workers in Goa.
Over the course of time, Tripal developed a relationship with both the women and promised to marry them. Both the women gave birth to two children. However, since the babies were born out of wedlock, the trio allegedly murdered the newborns and buried their bodies in Goa before returning back to Odisha. The incident came to light when Tripal reportedly abducted one of the women on the false pretext of marrying her.
However, after learning about this development, the other woman lodged a complaint with the Golamunda police. The Police then arrested Tripal and the whole incident came to light.
