The State government has issued a fresh set of guidelines for all the air passengers landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar. Following the directive of the Odisha government, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC)issued stipulations for the passengers that will be followed strictly at the airport.
1) The passengers de-boarding at Bhubaneswar Airport shall have to produce RTPCR negative report or Rapid Antigen test negative report which needs to be obtained 48 hours prior to landing at Bhubaneswar.
2) Citizens can also produce final vaccination certificate while de-boarding at Bhubaneswar in lieu of above mentioned COVID tests.
3) Citizens coming without these reports shall have to undergo mandatory Rapid Antigen Test at the testing facility set up at airport premises for this purpose. The positive cases detected at the RAT test at the BPIA will be dealt with as per the treatment protocol.
The BMC letter mentioned that the Director of Biju Patnaik Airport will ensure strict adherence of the guidelines that will be brought into effect immediately.
